Life Alert and similar devices are reactive — they rely on the senior pressing a button after something goes wrong. Smart CareGenius is proactive. It provides medication and hydration reminders, gently prompts for daily activities, and can automatically detect issues like inactivity or possible falls. Families are notified in real time without requiring the senior to wear or press anything.

The core platform is the same, but it’s tailored for each group:

• For seniors, the focus is on safety and independence — reminders, fall detection, and monitoring of daily wellness.
• For autistic and neurodivergent individuals, the focus is on skill-building and structured learning — step-by-step guidance, positive reinforcement, and smoother transitions.

This allows us to serve both groups well while keeping the experience personalized.

No. Smart CareGenius works with standard equipment you may already have. There’s no required hardware kit and no special installation service. Setup is as simple as connecting your devices to the Smart CareGenius software and configuring caregiver alerts.

There is a $50 charge for participating in the pilot program. After the pilot, Smart CareGenius will be offered as a subscription service. Pricing will depend on the features you choose (basic reminders vs. full alerting and reporting), but our goal is to keep it affordable — less than the cost of one day of home aide services per month.

If Smart CareGenius detects something concerning — like a possible fall, wandering, or long periods of inactivity — it immediately alerts your chosen contacts (family, neighbors, or caregivers). You decide how alerts are sent: text, phone call, or app notification. In group or facility settings, alerts can be routed to staff for fast response.
